Insuremyvan.ie are delighted to be involved with St Patricks Athletic as sponsors of the new emerging talent programme.

St Patricks Athletic are set to break new ground and become the first ever league of Ireland club to set up a new emerging talent programme in conjunction with three of their affiliate partner schoolboy clubs. The new scheme which is being sponsored by Insuremyvan.ie will see players and coaches from three partner clubs; Cherry Orchard, Crumlin United and Belvedere come together on a weekly basis to establish a set up to form what will be an under 13’s team for the club. The proposed start of the FAI national U-13 league is 2018. This has prompted St. Pat’s to begin their preparations in earnest.

Ger O’Brien the Inchicore club’s director of football outlined the emerging talent programme at the official launch in Richmond Park. “The FAI have been rolling out an emerging talent programme for a number of years now by bringing players together from different clubs one night a week. Here at St. Pat’s we will be getting players together twice a week, with the aim to give young footballers an identity with the club and come through our player pathway and continue their development ahead of coming into an elite level and becoming part of our national under 13 league side”.

“In order to make all this happen we needed support and we’ve been very fortunate to have Insuremyvan.ie come on board and i thank Company Manager Shauna Fogarty and Head Of Marketing John Hickey for all their help. It’s fantastic to have their backing on an important programme for the club” added O’Brien. In the last number of years St. Pats have seen a number of young players progress through the youth ranks to under 17’s, under 19’s and right up to senior level.
